This poor soul was about to be put down at the shelter, we pleaded for 24 more hours, and finally got him out. We had to get a trainer to help him work through his fears and aggression. He is doing so well now and is living his best life at his forever home!

Stark is such a sweet angel. Senior dumped at the shelter after owner claimed she had allergies!! Stark has found his forever home and is having a wonderful life!

Señor is only 3.8lb. Poor little baby cut his nose open trying to escape his cage. Glad he is now safe and happy with his new family!

Minnie (1.8lb) and Winnie (2.2lb) were rescued from the shelter. Their owner starved them to death. As soon as we got home, Winnie presented some cognitive issues, probably caused by starvation. We got immediate medical help and they are now doing much better. They are extremely friendly and lovely. They enjoy to cuddle and leak each other’s ears.Minnie and Winnie seem to support and comfort each other. Happily these two sisters will remain together forever. They now have a warm and lovely family.

When we rescued January from the shelter, we knew that she had a chest wound, but no other medical notes were made. As soon as we took her to the vet, the doctors informed us about a hernia, which caused her to urinate very frequently. With the help of our loyal donors we were able to perform three surgeries. January successfully recovered from the surgeries and is now happily located at her forever home!

It was a long journey before Coco met her new family. We are glad to announce that she has found a very special home to take care of her and love her for many years :)

Coco was about to be put down after being abandoned by her owners at 15 years old!. Luckily we got her out of the shelter in time. Unfortunately, she has lost the use of her back legs but that does not stop her from moving around and playing. She loves to cuddle and is just getting used to her new wheels!

Cookie was a young chihuahua in need of heart surgery for a rare condition called PDA. Sadly, her small heart was too fragile and Cookie passed away during surgery. She will always be remembered as an angel.

Things were not working well for Lemon and Tosh at home, a new baby was around and these doggies got very jealous. Mama understands that safety is first and asked us to step in. Very soon we relocated the two brothers with a great family willing to love them as much as their previous family did. The best part is that we were able to keep the two together!

Nile, another poor soul left at the shelter by his owners. However, his energetic personality and friendly behavior rapidly got him a forever home! Nile became a Canadian dog!

10 years old Elsa, moved to Canada! We are certain she is bringing so much happiness to her forever home.

Percy is in a safe environment with his new family that loves him so much!

At first we thought that Percy was a common stray dog. However, he surprised us when we got him at the foundation, he is potty trained, loves walks and even helps us put the harness on! He is so compassionate, loyal and brave. He has a wire in his top jaw from an attempted repair and a broken lower jaw. With the help of our donors, we will perform a proper jaw surgery and get him all fixed up.

Percy is such a special dog, we are certain that he would be a great fit for any family!

Waverly is a 10 years old senior angel. She was found as a stray and brought to the shelter, where we rescued her. She is very friendly and loves to cuddle.

She has found her forever home and now has a safe place to spend the rest of her years!

This little kitten was rescued from the shelter after Halloween. He was very tiny but had a strong and curious personality. He loved to play, eat and sleep. Soon enough a wonderful family adopted him and now he will spend the rest of his years happy and safe.

It was like love at first sight. Ella is a young chihuahua, and since we saw her at the shelter, we knew she was part of the family. We got so attached to her sparkling personality that we decided to keep her and try to give her the best life we can.

Grace was starving on the streets, so hungry that she ingested plastic to survive. She was found abandoned, covered in fleas and in pain from an untreated hernia. With the help of our loyal donors, Grace was spayed, plastic removed from her stomach and hernia removed as well.

We are honored to announce that Grace has found her new family!! Thanks to all our supporters, we we able to cover for Grace’s expenses. She stayed with us at the foundation for few months, while we looked for the right fit for her. We never lost hope!

4 years old Benji was left at the shelter by his owner with the excuse that ‘‘he did not do well with other dogs.’’ At the foundation we have many dogs and he did not show any signs of aggressive behavior. On the contrary, he was extremely friendly, kind and sweet. He believes he is still a puppy! In less than a week, Benji was adopted by a family with dogs and children. We are glad Benji was relocated to a family that will always love him for who he really is!

Rico is about 12 years old. He was rescued from the shelter. He was underweight and with severe dental issues. Now, with the help of our donors, Rico is gaining some weight and every day he gets stronger and more active. He is such a friendly soul.

We are so excited that he has finally found his forever home.

This 4 years old chihuahua is so loving and playful, and just wants to cuddle up with her humans! Carmen is very active and has a caring nature, she loves to look after children, puppies and kittens. Carmen’s vibrant personality and energy helped her find her forever home! She has been successfully adopted by a kind soul!

At the shelter, Daisy was listed as fearful and aggressive and she would have never made it out! After a couple hours post-shelter she was cuddled up and accepting kisses and hugs. We could see happiness in her eyes. She is very good with other animals and people.

She has found a forever home and is now spending the best time of her life with people that love her.

Whiskey is only few months old and weights 3lb. He was dumped by his previous owner after he would not stop crying. With the help of our donors we were able to cover for x-rays and his first round of shots. He has compressed spinal cord which causes him constant pain. He is now in good hands receiving treatment.

Thanks to our donors we were able to help him get much better. Whiskey has started a new life with amazing people looking after him. His new family will care for him and will help him recover.

We got Lea when we pulled up to the shelter at the exact moment she was being abandoned. A man was dumping her and her weaned puppies. The man believed she was pregnant again, but she wasn't. We had her spayed, vaccinated, and treated for fleas.  

Update: Lea is not longer available for adoption through us. She has been relocated to a Las Vegas' Rescue called ''Doggie Day.'' She will make an amazing companion to the lucky person who adopts her!

Jesse was rescued from the shelter, there he spent days in a tiny cage waiting for someone to take him out.

Fortunately, he has found love and compassion at his new forever home. We are so glad that he is safe and happy!

Bam Bam was rescued from a terrible hoarding situation. Despite his previous life, he is very playful and sweet with people and other animals. His new family loves him so much! We are very glad he found a great home where to spend the rest of his life.

Willow had a rough start. She was only 2 months old when she was found surviving in the streets, and then sent to a shelter. 

Fortunately, she joined our EDL family, and soon enough got a forever home. Now she lives with people that will always be there for her, and she even has an older sister to play with.

Chill and Stella, 12 years old seniors, were rescued from the shelter after her owner dumped them in horrible health conditions. They were fighters, but the years of neglect were just too much for their little bodies to take. We did all we could to save them, but unfortunately, they passed away.

Please remember, animals are not toys. They have souls and feelings. Without proper care they will suffer. It is your responsibility to look after those animals that you take in your home, they are now part of your family.

After being abandoned at the shelter by her previous owner, being neglected and starved, and loosing her sisters Chill and Stella to heart failure, we are happy to announce she has found her forever home. Our lovely Sugar has joined the same family that adopted one of our previous rescues ‘‘mamma bear,’’ we are glad that she is now in a safe and permanent home.

Faith escaped a hoarding situation. Her owner, a drug addict, could not look after her. It took few days for her to trust in us, she was very afraid of people. But, with love, patience and tons of vegan treats, Faith finally brightened up, and her amazing personality came alive. She found wonderful people to look after her, at her new forever home.

Chiquita loves to spend time outside and to be pet and cuddle with her humans. This senior lady had a rough start to life and spent almost 6 months cooped up in a small cage at the shelter. She is very friendly and gets a long great with other animals. She is finally free at her loving home, where she will spend the remainder of her years.

Sweet and docile companion. Mitch was founded wandering in the streets. At the shelter, he was scared and barely wanted to show his real self. He is healthy and has a great personality. His new family loves him so much!

Taz is a 4 year old chihuahua min pin mix weighing 4.8 lbs who we rescued from the shelter. He was terrified and lonely with a massive tumor on his leg. No one was interested in him because of the tumor and his struggle to walk so he was at risk to be put to sleep. We had the tumor removed right away and he is all healed up, just with a slight limp!

He is super playful and LOVES all people and animals. He is a cuddle bug with so much love to give to his new forever family!

Raisin is a 4 year old Chihuahua who was abused and left at the shelter to die. But now he will have the best years with his amazing new family!

Alice found her amazing forever home!

Tiny little Alice was set to be euthanized at the shelter because they had her marked as rescue only. The shelter listed her as a senior but she is only 5 years old! She is a hilariously playful pup with tons of energy and personality. 

Calvin was adopted!

Calvin is a 3 year old chug (chi/pug) who bounced around from home to home with irresponsible owners. We found him because a family was threatening to take him to the shelter. He is absolutely adorable and very happy-go-lucky.

Gigi went to an amazing forever home with a chihuahua brother who looks just like her!

Gigi is a 2 year old chi mix who was found running around on the streets of DTLA. She had clearly been bred and neglected. She is a very sweet pup who is always happy to be around people and other animals.

Sabrina found her perfect forever home <3

Sabrina is a 2 year old, 8 lbs, female chihuahua. She is super friendly and great with kids and other animals. She was found living in a grocery store parking lot where she likely was abandoned.

Bobby is living on the East Coast and is happy and healthy :)

Bobby is a senior chihuahua (11 yrs old) and 11 lbs, who was dumped by his owner ‼️ He was rescued from an overcrowded high kill shelter. Bobby was so happy to leave that scary place. Those who pledged, please honor your pledges and send them to donations@jaydenicole.com ☺.

Chug went to an amazing forever home and with another chi/pug pup!

Chug is a 7 year old chihuahua/pug mix who was left at the shelter by his lifelong family because they "didn't have time for him anymore".

Henry was adopted by his incredible foster family, who renamed him Chicken!

This poor boy was found on the streets, hungry, cold and all alone. Thanks to some helpful people who spotted him and called us and an amazing foster who took him in, he is now safe! He is still however looking for a forever home where he will be kept safe and loved forever!

Lemon was first taken into the shelter as a stray, starving and suffering from deformities that prevent her from walking normally.

Luckily she has been adopted by a wonderful family, and she will be happy for the rest of her life!

Angel was abandoned at the kill shelter after being with a family for 7 loyal years. The man who brought her in said they didn't want her anymore, leaving her to sit in a small and cold cage during the storms. She had a bladder infection that we had her treated for and dry eyes which will needed to be treated her entire life. Luckily for Angel she was adopted by her new mom that is going to take great care of her!

Princessa is a three year old chi who we rescued from the shelter before she could be put to sleep. She is shy at first but very lovey and cuddly as soon as she settles in. She is a quiet dog who gets along well with other animals. 

She is now happy with her new chihuahua brothers and sisters in her forever home.

Rascal is a 2 yr old  4lb black and gold terrier mix. He was brought into the shelter as a stray. Rascal is super loving and playful. He loves playing with other dogs and adores people. 

Rascal now Chapo is happy in his new forever home and his new family could not be happier!

Meet Delores! She is a black female chihuahua around 8 years old weighing 7 lbs who was brought in to Downey Animal Shelter as a stray. She was so afraid and weary stuffed in one cage with two other dogs so we just had to get her out of there! As soon as we left the shelter, she relaxed immediately and is now ready to find her forever home! Delores is so sweet and loving so its no wonder she found an amazing forever home.

Baby Bear was rescued from an abandoned house in Northridge area. After a concerned neighbor found her brother in a dumpster nearby a rescue attempt was organized and Baby Bear was brought to us. When we got her she was scared and dirty, but finally safe. After getting her healthy she was adopted out to a very loving home!

We're so happy Baxter was able to get on a flight with Project Flying Chihuahuas and Kinder4Rescue to head to the East Coast! From there he was snatched up by a registered rescue and will be adopted out to a loving family!

Bear has found his place in a forever home! His momma Kellie who had been fostering him for us decided she wanted to adopt him! Now Bear gets to call his home for the past few months a permanent one with his fur sibling and human family!  

Lulu has found her new home! She's loving life with her new puppy brother Chester and her new momma! 

Penny was found wandering the streets before she came to us. Penny is very sweet and loving. She enjoys cuddling, hiking, and rolling around with her dog and human friends.

Penny was adopted into a family of three other chihuahua rescues and spends most days on the boat or swimming in the lake!

Silly little Boots has gone to his forever home! We couldn't be happier that he has found a new momma patient and kind enough to give him the training and attention he needs. This guy came to us scared and refused to let anyone pick him up. Now he snuggles in bed with his new forever mom and his new doggy brother! 

Julio is here! We just rescued this 10 week old baby after his owner was unable to care for him. He is so adorable and loving! He is 1.8 lbs and will grow to be about 6 lbs. 
This little rambunctious munchkin is the best puppy we have ever had! He sleeps through the night and didn't cry or yelp all day! He is super playful and loving but when it's time to chill he is on board! 
Julio has officially been adopted! We are so happy for him! He is going to an amazing home with an older chi brother

Bryce was rescued from the Downey shelter after coming in as a stray. He is a black and brown short haired chihuahua mix. He is very friendly and playful! He is full of energy and loves to pounce on your feet!

Bryce has found his forever home with his long time foster parents who've vowed to love him for the rest of his doggy days. Go Bryce!

We rescued Chili Bean when he was just 6 weeks old. Chili's had  rough start to life because he was back and forth from the vet hospital. Chilis lungs filled up with water and he was suffocating, his heart rate slowed and they didn't think he would make it. 45 minutes later he was still fighting for his life. Chili went to the hospital numerous times with pneumonia and also other ailments we didn't know about. 
Chili Bean wants to thank everyone that followed his amazing story. He is happy and healthy in his new forever home.

Lucky was rescued from West Valley Shelter. She is very sweet and calm. She gets along well with other dogs and people and enjoys playing, slow walks, and lounging. 

Lucky was adopted, fortunately, to a nice elderly lady who loved her until her last days :)

Mr. Waffles has been adopted! His foster momma, Kathleen, has fallen in love with him the same way she fell in love with Hashbrowns/Coco. Waffles is living with his many doggy siblings and couldn't be happier! We're so happy for you Waffles <3

Our sweet Panda has found his forever home! He loves his new mommy and daddy and we're SO unbelievably happy that this amazing guy has found a home after a few months with us.

Pebbles has been adopted and is now living in her forever home! We couldn't be happier for this sweet girl and wish her the best with her new owner!

Lily is going to her new home in Bakersfield! This little girl is just going to love life with her new family!

Honey was going to be put to sleep at the Lancaster shelter, but we saved her just in time! She was marked as aggressive because she was terrified they day they dragged her into her small dirty cage. She is the furthest thing from aggressive! She is so happy and loving! She is about 7 pounds and is 4 years old. 

We are happy to report that Honey has found her forever home and she couldn't be happier! Her new owners have changed her name to polka dot. Thanks to her new loving family she will never be abandoned again!

Butterscotch has found her forever home and will be leaving us shortly! We're so happy this sweet pup has found a family to grow up with! 

Sweet little Francis was found on the streets with no collar, no chip, and after searching for weeks we had not found anyone looking for her. She's the most loving little girl and gets along great with other dogs. We love her pig noises.

We are so happy that Francis was adopted by the most wonderful family ever.

Evee is a 2 yr old 6 lb brown and white chihuahua sh. She was brought into the shelter as a stray. Evee absoulutely loves people and is super loving and affectionate. She loves to play with other dogs.

Evee, now Basil, was adopted by a loving family and they couldn't be happier!

Update: We are heartbroken to report that Cynthia passed away in November due to cancer. Our thoughts are with her loving family and we are so relieved that she was surrounded by so much love at the end of her life.

Cynthia has gone to her forever home with her mama Julie in Scottsdale, Arizona! She was one of the sweetest girls we've had, and we're so happy to know she loves her new family.

Foxy was adopted!! Her new owners have already fallen in love with her adorable little face and she is just spoiled rotten! We're so happy for this little girl. She went from illegal backyard breeder (no food or water!) to lovable home in just a few weeks! CONGRATS FOXY! <3

Our little Indiana Jones has found his forever home! This guy is now loving life with his new family and we know they will love this amazing little guy right back!

Miss Molly has gone to her new home with her best friend Layla! We're just SO happy these girls got to go to their forever home together! We're going to miss spunky Molly with her crazy yoga poses! 

After being in a shelter for five months, and with us for eight, Petunia has finally found a forever home! She's loving life with hew new family and new little cat friend. Her snuggly personality will be missed, but we couldn't be happier for her!

In early February we made the difficult decision to put Wolverine to sleep. He had quite the hard life as a stray and came to us in terrible condition. We managed to take care of his urgent issues but because of his old age, constant pain in his back end, and chronic skin condition we determined his quality of life was just not going to get any higher. Wolf was given many treats and cuddles in his last days and there's no doubt he knew he was loved and well cared for. We will always miss you Wolverine <3 

Jelly Bean is now in her new home in Texas! She is doing great and loves her new momma! She will be missed tons but we're so happy she's in her new home :)

Yet another pup has found a forever home! Lady has had a hard live, rescued from a shelter with her brand new puppies. Now, she gets to live it up with her new momma with a warm bed and lots of snuggles and kisses. We will miss this sweet little girl! 

This is Sally. She is a sweet 3 years young, gets along great with other animals and loves to snuggle up on your lap. She was only days away from being killed at the shelter when we pulled her out of there.

We are so happy to announce that Sally has found her forever home!!! We love you Sally!! 

Biscuit has been adopted! He's going to love the full attention of his new owner as the only dog of the house! Congrats Biscuit!

Candy finally has a family of her very own! There's been a lot of happy tears shed by everyone here at the EDL foundation about her adoption. Candy is living the best life with her forever family complete with lots of love. ♥️♥️ Congratulations to Candy and her forever home. 

Baby Marshmallow got adopted! His new momma says he's doing very well and he gets along amazingly with his new Labrador buddy. Congrats Marshmallow on finding your forever home :)

After one unsuccessful adoption that didn't fit right, little Theodore is back with a forever family that loves him! This little guy is such a sweet boy and we're so happy for him!

Dorothy is a 2 yr old 6 lb all black sh chihuahua. She was brought in to the shelter as a stray. Dorothy loves to give kisses and to cuddle. She gets along well with other dogs. 

She joins  her new sister, another all black female chi in her forever home.

Sweet little Pickles was rescued from the Baldwin Park animal shelter after being picked up as a stray. He quickly found a new home with a couple in Studio City with 2 other Chihuahuas Odie and Gigi!

Adorable little Hashbrowns has been adopted by her foster Momma! We're so happy for her and her new family! Hashbrowns is going to have an awesome life with her new fur siblings as well :)

Peanut, one of the longest standing residents, has found her new home with her lovely family in Washington! We're so happy this little girl finally got the family she deserves, and we just know she loves her new life with her fur brother! 

When Princess met her new mom Melody in September 2013, it was love at first sight! The pair are now happily together in Glendale, CA.

Piglet is now in his forever home in Malibu, California! He is loving his new family and is making great friends with their new baby! 

Dex is a 2 yr old 6 lb cream sh chihuahua. He was brought into the shelter as a stray. He was really shy and elusive at first but once he warms up he is super sweet and loving. Dex loves to be pet and gets along well with other dogs. 

Now he can run and play free all day thanks to his new forever home :)

Baby Puddles has now gone off to his forever home! Though he was a little unsure at first he's now snuggled up with his new family! We couldn't be happier for this little guy :)

These two cute little chis have been abandoned by their owner who can no longer care for them. One neutered male and one spayed female, 6-8 years old around 5 lbs. 

Luckily for these two, they don't have to separate in the new forever home that they can call their own!

Nico is a neutered male chihuahua about 3 yrs old weighing 6 lbs. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and was brought in as a stray. Nico is very calm and friendly. He gets along well with other dogs and absolutely loves people.

Nico was adopted by a wonderful family who flew all the way from NYC to get him!

Jimmy was living on the streets when a kind woman saved him and contacted us. He is very loving and sweet; he will follow you around and be your best friend. He does well with other animals and would be great with kids. He has a lot of energy and loves going on walks and hikes. 

We are so happy that Jimmy's long time foster has finally decided to make him a permanent part of the family!

Elsa is 1 year old and about 5 lbs. She is very fearful still and is learning to trust people. She is GREAT with other dogs!

Elsa was adopted and now has a home to call her own forever!

We're so excited (and I bet her new owners are too!) that Spoons has found a forever home to spend the rest of her days! We love to see updates of her living and learning in her puppy days and can't wait to see what she looks like when she's full grown! Congratulations Spoons!

This is Pearl. She is a 2 yr old tan sh chihuahua. This poor little baby was surrendered by her owner and left at the shelter to die... She was in pain, her skin bleeding and itchy with no help. She had given up hope. We were able to save her just in time! She is now happy and healthy in her forever home!

Sammy, now named Stella, was adopted by a wonderful woman located in Oregon who only adopts special needs chihuahuas that are either blind or deaf. The EDL foundation flew Stella up to Portland, Oregon to be united with her new owner! She is doing well and is very happy in her loving forever home. We are so happy for the amazing life stella has ahead of her!

Snoopy is such a special dog! He was hit by a car and badly injured, after which his owner abandoned him at the shelter. He was in horrible pain and was terrified, cowering and shaking in a little cage. We rushed him to the vet and were told his leg would not be fixable. It was amputated and he has healed so well! Hw is stronger and healthier than ever. Snoopy is good with other dogs and loves to play! 

Snoopy has finally found his forever home with his long time foster who will never abandon him like his last family did!

Godzilla is a 1 yr old 5 lb brown chihuahua. We rescued him from the Downey Animal Shelter just moments before he was set to be euthanized. He is severely malnourished and under weightGodzilla is extremely affectionate and loves people.

Godzilla has finally been adopted by his forever family and he couldn't be more excited! He is so deserving of all the love he will be receiving for the rest of his days.

Olive is a 1 year old, 7lb chihuahua. She was adopted once from the shelter but then "returned" because her adopters had dogs who didn't like her. She was going to be put to sleep, but we rescued her just in time! She LOVES toys and walks with her new mom and dad!

This Is Kevin. He was  10 years old, male, intact, never been to the vet, never vaccinated. He lived his whole 10 yrs in the garage with his mother and father. Both his mother and father have passed in the past 3 months . He was taken in shortly after Christmas. He is super skittish, but coming around. He stays in his crate and when left alone he will come out to eat and use the bathroom. Such a sad start to life but now he is loved for by his forever family!
